There comes a time in our life journeys when we receive the calling from God to come home. Just as we prepare for a newborn baby to come into the world, we should prepare for departure as well. Unfortunately, many times, we neglect to prepare our loved ones or ourselves for the “welcome home” celebration that we experience upon our arrival back with God.
The Prayer of Ascension assists an individual by preparing him/her spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically for the journey. Through our earthly life, we can become fearful of our death or departure from this life. The Prayer of Ascension can address and alleviate these long held fears. Sometimes, grudges from this life or negative memory imprints interfere with a loving homecoming. The focus of the prayer ascension is to address and cleanse these blocks of emotional and mental hurdles. A prayer is placed asking for and gives forgiveness, completes any lingering soul contracts that were entered into during this life and clears karmic debt to prepare us for our passage. 
The Prayer of Ascension offers support, guidance, divine clarity and unconditional love. Our passage home from this life is always in God’s hands. The Prayer of Ascension does not cause us to leave this life. It is to assist in completing one phase of our journey in a vessel (body) and being reborn into our holy soul bodies with ease. There are too many people passing in fear of the unknown, instead of truly having a faithful knowing that “all is well”. Too many confused souls, feeling unworthy of God’s love and acceptance, become trapped in the void because of earthly experiences, fear, hatred and denial. God loves us all unconditionally. The Prayer of Ascension helps guide us through this confusion.
In the Prayer of Ascension ceremony, an energetic balance is achieved with the subconscious and conscious mind, to bring closure and to heighten the illumination of grace for the soul.  When the soul, mind and body are aligned, peace is absorbed in the individual’s aura.  Angelic Messengers are asked to be present along with ascended love ones, Christ’s consciousness and whomever the individual needs to bring comfort in the transitioning from the earthly vessel (body) into the soul body.
